Our Parish History
St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Manchester, Michigan was founded in 1871. This fieldstone church is listed on the State of Michigan's Register of Historic Sites. we are now a parish of nearly 500 registered families. The State Historical Marker located in front of the church begins: "The first Catholic church in the Manchester area was built by German settlers in Freedom Township in 1839 and dedicated to St. Francis de Borgia…"

Welcome to the Parish Office
The St. Mary Parish Office is located in the front portion of the rectory building immediately adjacent to (east of) the church building. Office hours are 9:00 am-noon and 1:00-3:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday, the office is open mornings only, from 9:00 am until noon. American Heritage Girls Troop MI1871
AHG meetings will be on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, from 6 - 7:30 pm at the Parish Center, starting this September. Troop Board meetings will be on the 4th Thursday of the month, same time and location. Parents are always welcome to attend Troop Board meetings.
